Will Hawkes founded Hawkes Haulage AUS to make a meaningful, reliable freight and logistics company in Australia. He blends big-picture strategy with hands-on experience and prioritises reliability, safety, and customer service. Under his leadership, the team provides tailored heavy haulage and transport with real-time tracking and personalised support, ensuring each shipment is handled carefully. His practical, strategic approach drives improvement, strong client relationships, and a culture of accountability.

Chris Hawkes

The Hawkes Haulage story starts with Chris Hawkes, whose journey in transport began in the early 1990’s with a single business built on hard work, strong relationships, and a reputation for reliability. Through persistence and a hands-on approach, Chris rapidly expanded operations, steadily growing his fleet and capabilities while earning the trust of major clients across Australia.

Over time, Chris successfully acquired and integrated several transport businesses, building a fleet of 60 prime movers and securing major contracts with some of Australia’s largest supermarket and fresh produce companies. His leadership and industry knowledge also saw him contribute beyond his own business, serving on the board of NatRoad and Community Enterprises, and previously holding part ownership in Geelong Truck Sales.

Like many in the transport industry, the Global Financial Crisis presented significant challenges, ultimately unravelling years of dedicated growth. However, the experience, resilience, and knowledge gained during that period now form the foundation of the guidance Chris brings to Hawkes Haulage today.
